By bike from west to east (from Herne to Kostrzyn). It was supposed to be my first trip, but not the last.
A lot of people said I couldn’t do it. At the beginning with a lot of excitement I just went for it. I wanted to prove to myself and the others that you can do a lot on your own.
I had my first experiences of what loneliness can mean when travelling, finding good places to camp if you get lost, etc…
Despite excess baggage, no navigation, a small bicycle and no experience I arrived in Kostrzyn in 6 days.
I was licking blood!
